JOB REQUIREMENTS Education Certification by an Aide training program which meets the requirements of the Home Health Federal Regulations and Medicare Hospice Conditions of Participation (COP). Has not had a lapse of 24 consecutive months where the individual has not provided aide services for compensation. Must pass a written competency exam given by the medical center HHA prior to employment. Must maintain drivers license valid in the state of Arkansas and automobile liability insurance. Must possess the ability to read and write. Experience Must demonstrate a sound knowledge base and action in care and judgement. Must communicate well. Physical Driving is part of job responsibilities. Close eye work. Hearing of normal and soft tones. Operate hairdryer, hoyer lift, whirlpool, shampoo board, B/P machine, thermometer, telephone, automobile. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, and stooping. JOB SUMMARY Assist the professional nursing staff by performing simple nursing procedures and personal activities which enhance the safety and well being of the patient. Ability to perform tasks involving physical activity, which may include heavy lifting and extensive bending and standing. Considerable driving in town and rural areas.
